It all begins with an idea . . .
. . . and this one began with our family! We are Angie and Gerritt Clark and we grew up just down the road in Rochester. We moved to Byron in 2007 and shortly after our arrival, knew Byron would be our forever home! We absolutely love the small-town community feel and have found everyone to be so friendly and welcoming. With the economic trials in recent years, we saw the level of support Byron was capable of. We love that this community has a passion for supporting local businesses and because of this our confidence in taking the leap to start a business of our own in this community grew.
We saw a need in the Byron community for a locally-owned coffee shop and we both have backgrounds in the service industry. We have always missed that working environment. We wanted to find a way to contribute to the community we have grown to love. As we embark on this adventure, we aim to be locally-sourced and community-inspired! It is important to us to support those within our community and we plan to actively seek ongoing opportunities to partner with others when we can. We can’t wait to serve you at Bear Paw Coffee!
